Thriving in a Remote Environment
Working remotely offers incredible flexibility, but it also comes with its own set of challenges. At Ruzora, our engineers are distributed across Latin America and work with US-based teams — here are our top recommendations.
Communication is Key
Over-communicate rather than under-communicate. Use async tools like Slack or email for non-urgent matters, and schedule video calls for complex discussions.
Write things down. The best remote engineers are also the best documenters. When in doubt, leave a trail in your project’s channel or ticket.
Set Clear Boundaries
Establish a dedicated workspace and set clear working hours. This helps maintain work-life balance and signals to your team when you’re available.
Use your Time Off feature in the Developer Portal to request PTO — your client and Ruzora team will be notified automatically.
Stay Connected
Join the Ruzora community channels, attend virtual events, and connect with fellow engineers. Building relationships is just as important remotely as it is in an office.
Check the Community section for Slack invites, upcoming tech talks, and networking events.
